S4 art work

Here are the latest pieces of art work from S4...

A super pen and wash drawing by Beth and some Japanese themed pencil work by Lara - well done!

Self evaluation afternoon

It's the end of this block in BC, where pupils have taken part in drama, sculpture and iPad games. Today, we are writing up our 'I Can' sheets, detailing new skills and understanding. We are also filling in evaluations that will help us improve these experiences next time.

Next term, we are travelling to Bellahouston Ski Centre in Glasgow where pupils will ski or snowboard. This will be great practise for those coming on the Glenshee trip in February...

News analysis in S4/5

Although the weather has prevented some of their peers from attending school, S4/5 are working hard today. In Modern Studies we are looking at current affairs, and assessing the usefulness of a variety of online sources. The class are increasingly confident in their understanding of the significance of a piece of news and in their ability to quickly scan a item and then summarise it- responsible citizens in the making!

The show goes on!

S3 history and French pupils performed their solo talks this morning, since, despite weather conditions most of their class have made it in!

Andrew did a superb talk on Lord Shaftesbury....

Kyle gave a very interesting talk on Gustave Eiffel...

Chloe spoke very clearly on Joan of Arc...

Jessica spoke on the interesting life of the athlete Christophe Lemettre...

and Euan gave an insightful talk on Marie Antoinette...

S3 are becoming increasingly confident individuals! Well dine everyone!
