Today Doctor Rankin and Mrs Creighton took 12 of the secondary pupils to Waterstones to choose new books for the school library.

Everyone chose at least one book each, but lots of the books were in a 3 for 2 offer so we made sure we took advantage of that!

Most of the books we bought are novels but Finlay choose a book about Ferraris which the rest of the boys assured me would definitely be looked at on a regular basis! Declan also choose non-fiction and he has added a Horrible History to the school collection. Amongst the novels we bought are 3 Artemis Fowl books, the latest Alex Rider book and a Michael Morpurgo novel. We also bought some books for the senior fiction section of the library.

Spending all that money made us hungry so we headed up to the food hall and then everyone had a chance to do some shopping of their own.

All in all it was a great day out!
