Successful Learners

S3 historians are nearing the end of their famous Victorians project. The class have been working steadily for a fortnight on producing a 2 minute Keynote presentation on a famous Victorian. EAch lesson has focused on a different skill, such as creating mental coathangers to hang information on, making notes using the internet, putting information in own words, selecting important and interesting information from a variety of sources, drawing up a plan for ths talk, making bullet point cue cards for the talk... Today, the class have been planing a Keynote slideshow, using only one image or one word per slide. They will not talk from the slideshow, but will talk using their cue cards. The slideshow will tie in to their talk, and will interest the audience in what they are saying. Dr Rankin will aso come to observe the class and use their talks as part of their assessment in English.
